“ We held my daughters birthday party upstairs in the lovely function room. Sophie was amazing from the start, always on hand to answer questions. On the day we were able to get into the room at 12.15pm to decorate which gave us plenty of time to get back and get ready. We opted for the house buffet which was just perfect and plentiful and there was a great selection on drinks. Big thank you to the bar staff on the night as they were just so lovely and friendly. All our guests commented how lovely the room was and how lovely the staff were as well. Thank you so much if I ever arrange another party in Chester The Cornerhouse will be my first point of call! :-) ”
“ We recently booked out the function room above the bar on a Friday night. This was for a work party and Sophie, Ben and the rest of the staff couldn’t have been better. Initial dates, and a full list of FAQs made the booking easy and upfront. They have clearly hosted many events and this comes across, making it a very stress free arrangement. We had live music and DJ equipment too, which the Cornerhouse let set up the night before. Service on the night was great, the venue was atmospheric and the acoustics were spot on too. Recommend the establishment (and their sister bar The Cellar too). ”

“ Cannot recommend The Cornerhouse enough if you are having a party! Free to hire function room with its own bar and air con, great room layout, really helpful staff and reasonable catering prices (food is totally optional too, unlike most places). Drink prices are decent and the pizzas were delicious. It’s also super easy to get to by train or bus - what’s not to love. Sophie was really helpful, helping us find suppliers for light up numbers etc, and the staff on the night were great. Thank you so much Sophie and team! ”
“ We had such a great Saturday evening out. We had booked a table as there were ten of us and we were sitting by the dance floor. The live band was so good that we were up dancing all evening. Food was shared platters which were delicious and generous. Thank you for a lovely time and we will definitely be back. The live music is always worth coming for and it gets busy so get here early! A great venue for good food and drinks and great music. ”
